Kitchen renovation & bathroom renovation in Giralang
We transformed a tired Giralang home with a modern-look kitchen and bathroom, including custom details.
This home in Giralang was built in the 1970s to be north facing and with a truss roof. With these two excellent starting points, the owners could do anything to the inside of the house to get it perfect.
What we did
We removed the internal walls from the living areas and created an open plan living, kitchen and dining. We pulled up all the old and broken terracotta brick tiles and replaced them with beautiful NSW spotted gum flooring with medium feature.
The owners designed the kitchen themselves to be a modern, black and white central point of the house. Simplicity Kitchens handled the layout and production, and we installed and fitted it off.
For the bathroom renovation, we took the pink bathtub and vanity, and rusty old tapware out, replacing it with high quality Grohe products from Southern Plumbing Plus. The matte grey and white tiles tied in nicely with the concrete-look 600 x 600mm feature tile from Rivoland, running from floor to ceiling up one side of the room for an interesting effect.
Brand new awning style Monaro Windows are now fitted throughout the house, insulating the family from the weather and outside noise. We added the personal touches of the timber shelves in the kitchen and custom vanity in the bathroom.
After an all-over coating of fresh white paint, the home is renewed and the owners are overjoyed.
